What is Bandwidth?

Bandwidth is the amount of files and data that you can transfer per month. Every time a visitor views your site they are downloading files from your site, this uses your bandwidth.

Determining Bandwidth Needs
To estimate bandwidth usage multiply the size of an average HTML page, plus the combined size of images included in the page, by the number of times that page will be viewed in a given month. Multiply that number by the number of pages in your web site.

Examples
A page 30kb (including images) with 500 MB of Bandwidth could be viewed about 15,0000 times per month. (5,000kb / 30kb)
A page 30kb (including images) with 1000 MB of Bandwidth could be viewed about 33,000 times per month. (1,000,000kb / 30kb)
A page 30kb (including images) with 2000 MB of Bandwidth could be viewed about 65,000 times per month. (2,000,000kb / 30kb)
A page 30kb (including images) with 5000 MB of Bandwidth could be viewed about 165,000 times per month. (5,000,000kb / 30kb)

Note: 1 gigabyte = 1000 MB = 1,000,000 Kilobytes --approximately.
